The Gustavus Children’s Enhancement Program is a public nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization offering licensed child care to residents and visitors, and preschool to local residents.

If you're visiting Gustavus briefly with kids (age 0-12) feel free to give us a call to check availability. You can either accompany your child(ren) while they meet new friends and paint a picture, or you can fully enroll your child while you go on a kayaking adventure.

Summer Child Care:
Starting May 26th, 2017: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm for ages 0-12. Drop-ins are welcome, even just for a couple of hours! Children must be accompanied by an adult unless complete immunization records are provided. Accompanied children are free (suggested tax-deductible donation of $50.) Children with immunization records may enroll for $50 for up to 6 hours of care (any more hours will be charged at the regular rate depending on the child's age.)Call now for availability!

Preschool Program:
Our preschool program operates during the school year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-12. This program is reserved for children who attend at least a full month during each school year.

You will find that Gustavus offers a wide range of services including child care, taxi services, utility companies, and rental spaces. The Community Chest, our local thrift store, is open several times a week and has an amazing array of items.
