In The Town

The Gateway to Glacier Bay, Gustavus is just five miles square. Upon arrival, visitors pass Four Corners, the primary intersection in our town. At Four Corners, the 10-mile road between the airport and Bartlett Cove in Glacier Bay National Park meets the road to the Gustavus Dock and Rink Creek Road. All local businesses are spread out along and off these roads. Please stop at the kiosk in Four Corners to pick up a map or for contact information for any business in town. Gustavus City Hall is located on the banks of the Salmon River in the City Park. In Gustavus, some fun is free: Gus the Bear at Four Corners, walking or biking the local roads, the view from the small boat harbor, the fish swimming under the Salmon River Bridge, Lake Gustavus, beach trails, bird watching, fields of wildflowers, beachcombing, picnics, sunset on the dock and bonfires at the beach. Remember: Gustavus is not too big and not too small. It’s just right for your Alaska vacation!
